Meg Gain

Meg Gain is a Chartered Librarian, with many years experience in public and academic libraries. Meg set up Practica in 2000, a research consultancy specialising in the use of ICT in lifelong learning. Meg has worked, at a national level, for a variety of agencies, promoting ICT to enhance teaching and learning in post 16 education and training. She also has extensive experience as an assessor for agencies such as New Opportunities Fund, BBC Children in Need and the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Europe Singh currently works as a freelance education consultant specialising in  elearning, numeracy and equality issues.  Originally a teacher of mathematics he taught in schools and FE and went on to become an LEA adviser. He joined  BBC Education for 10 years during which time he started FETV and helped create the Learning Zone. Seconded to set-up learndirect he went on to work for Ufi/learndirect for six years setting up elearning systems and commissioning the Skills for Life portfolio. He is currently the editor of ‘Numeracy Briefing’.

Peter has a background of over 20 years in banking, followed by 15 years in management consultancy. He is an experienced manager and has worked with a number of multi-national corporations at a senior level. He specialises in Marketing Consultancy but has significant experience in the design and delivery of bespoke management training courses including team building, change management, creativity, stress management, leadership, advanced interview techniques, staff appraisal systems, finance for non financial managers and developing an effective I.T. strategy.

Brian is a freelance Flash 8 developer and website designer. He has extensive experience of enabling and facilitating IT projects in the voluntary community sector and has designed Access databases, dynamic websites and publicity and promotional material for churches and charities. He was recently employed by the NHS to enable the take-up of e learning in a mental health trust. He is currently completing a Flash 8 learning object on Adult and Child Protection for use in the trust’s e learning programme.

Roger Merritt

 

Roger Merritt is a consultant, researcher, and project manager working with both public and private sector clients to plan and deliver strategic and practical training solutions. He was a Director at the National Extension College (NEC) for 15 years, responsible for work-based learning programmes, learning resources sales and licensing, and FE partnership networks. Prior to joining NEC, Roger worked in the FE and schools sector as manager and teacher.
